Richmond Bridge

Richmond - Convict history and vineyards

Nestled in the heart of the Coal River Valley, Richmond was established as an important military staging post and convict station between Hobart and Port Arthur. The township is famous for its convict built bridge and the many Georgian style buildings. Some of the houses date back to the early 1820’s.
